NY State Governor Andrew Cuomo Visits Rochester

New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo paid a visit to Rochester yesterday to address the growing number of COVID-19 cases that will undoubtedly grow higher due to Thanksgiving travel and family get-togethers.

Cuomo gave his talk at the Baber A.M.E. Church on Meigs street. He mentioned that it would be next to impossible to predict how bad the cases would be after the holiday.

“It depends on how people perform,” he said, referring to the degree to which people avoid crowds and wear facial protection. “We have to work together to keep the infection rate down over the Thanksgiving holiday.”

“This is not a normal Thanksgiving, and to act like it is just denying reality,” Cuomo said. “You aren’t smarter than every public health expert in the nation, who all agree about this. Let’s think about what Thanksgiving really means.”
