City to Host Free Family-Friendly New Year’s Eve Celebration Downtown
(Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018) – The City of Rochester invites you to ring in 2019 with New Year’s Eve celebrations Downtown. This year’s free activities include:
New Year’s Eve Skate: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, 353 Court St., 5 to 7 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Free admission. $3 skate rental. Family skate: 5 to 7 p.m. Adults only (over 16 years old) skate: 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Family New Year’s Eve Party at the Riverside Convention Center 123 E. Main St., 6 to 9 p.m. Join family and friends to ring in the New Year with a DJ Dance Party, giant bounce houses, obstacle course, airbrush tattoos, photo booths, caricature artists, a magician and more. Meet popular costumed characters, including a princess, a snowman and a superhero. Snacks and beverages will available for purchase. (Note new time. Last year was 7 -10 p.m.).
Free Parking
Free parking will be offered from 6 -11 p.m. at the following garages:
- South Ave. Garage, 39 Stone St.
- Washington Square Garage, 111 Woodbury Blvd.
- Sister Cities Garage, 28 N. Fitzhugh St.
- Court St. Garage, 194 Court St.
- Mortimer St. Garage, 25 N. Clinton Ave.
