New Zealand Terrorist Attack

Early this morning an extremist right winged terrorist opened fire on two mosques in New Zealand leaving 49 dead and at least 20 wounded. To make matters worse, the shooter live streamed the entire attack on Facebook using a head-mounted camera.

The attacker identified himself as Brenton Tarrant, an Australian born man in his late 20’s. According to authorities, Tarrant previously posted a 16,500-word document to social media detailing his extremist ideologies and his plans for a terrorist attackPolice currently have him in custody and have charged him with murder.

Facebook, Youtube, and other social media streaming sites have been working tirelessly to get the video removed and have urged others to not share it as the contents are quite distressing.

Three other suspects connected to the attacks have also been apprehended and are currently in custody.
