New York State Makes Recommendations For Changes To Alcoholic Beverage Control Law
Written by Andre on May 11, 2023
New York State may make changes to the state liquor laws. Governor Kathy Hochul and state legislators created a panel to review the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law to offer suggestions on how to modernize the policies.
One recommendation by the board would allow liquor stores to sell alcohol at 10 am on Sundays. Two other recommendations would permit store owners to own more than one retail location and allow restaurants to buy alcohol from liquor stores. This would allow restaurants to purchase liquor when they run out of alcohol during business hours.
There are a total of 18 recommendations for changes made by the commission.
