New York State Launches Why Buy Legal Program For Weed Dispensaries

There is a new program launching in New York State to warn of the dangers of buying unlicensed weed products.
Legal cannabis products must go through testing for safety before selling it at legal dispensaries in New York State.
In early April the state approved 99 dispensaries however, there are no approved legal dispensaries in Rochester, New York right now.
The campaign is called “Why Buy Legal New York” and began prior to 4/20. The three pillars of the program are protecting public health, promoting social equality, and community reinvestment.
You can use the Dispensary Verification Tool through the state’s Office of Cannabis Management to check to see if the dispensary is licensed. For the list of legal dispensaries in New York State click here.
