Netflix Announces Chadwick Boseman Tribute Documentary

Netflix is releasing a documentary to honor the legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman. The documentary will be available to stream this Sunday, April 17th. The release of the trailer was aired this week.

The title of the documentary is Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist. The star-studded special will celebrate the life and legacy of the 43-year-old. Chadwick Boseman passed on August 28th, 2020, after a private four-year battle of colon cancer. His special will offer an intimate look into Boseman’s artistic process through intimate interviews with those who knew his work best. Some of the interviewees are his Black Panther co-star Danai Gurira and his Ma Rainey Black Bottom co-star Viola Davis.

A quote from Davis in the documentary; “You know you have to step up when you’re in his presence. He’s looking at your work and he’s like, really hyper-focused on the craft, on the process. That’s Chad.”

Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist will only be available for streaming for 30 days.
