With COVID-19 reducing social gatherings everywhere, people are doing their best to find ways to entertain themselves when not working remotely. What is available during an outbreak that has forced health officials to create social distancing protocols?

Book lovers can find a multitude of options through their local libraries and websites like Project Gutenberg and the Internet Archive. Amazon Prime features both free and paid books via its Kindle app. For streaming, there are plenty of free apps, such as PlutoTV, Sony Crackle, Tubi, Viki and Vudu. Ad-supported and paid content also exists on some of those apps as well. Other options include Amazon Prime, Disney+, Hulu, Netflix and YouTube. Basic and premium cable networks have their own free and paid streaming options, such as Fox NOW, CBS All Access, HBO Go, and HBO Now.

Museums are pointing people to free online concerts and virtual tours. Several musicians and entertainers have set up online albums and playlists. There are also free academic and craft courses. Scholastic is offering free lessons for children as well. All of these options and much more can be found with a basic internet search.

Of course, WDKX fans can also find plenty of music entertainment and news updates to keep them in the know!
