Moviegoers & Employees At AMC Will Be Required To Wear Masks

Written by on June 21, 2020

AMC has decided to reverse its policy on face masks being optional in their theaters.

The company will now require its patrons and employees to wear them at all times when the theater chain reopens.

Ryan Noonan, the director of corporate communications for AMC released a statement, saying:

“At AMC Theaters, we think it is absolutely crucial that we listen to our guests. Accordingly, and with the full support of our scientific advisors, we are reversing course and are changing our guest mask policy,”

“As we reopen theaters, we now will require that all AMC guests nationwide wear masks as they enter and enjoy movies at our theaters.”

If a moviegoer forgets their mask in their car or at home, they will be able to purchase one at the counter for $1.
