It’s not just you, items are getting harder to find by the day. Now? People who menstruate are having a hard to finding tampons on store shelves across the US, as supply chain upsets reach the feminine care aisle. According to various tampon companies, the shortage stems from a combination of factory staffing challenges, transportation bottlenecks, and the rising costs of key raw materials used to make the products.
Procter & Gamble, makers of Tampax products, stated “[the supply problem is temporary and] the Tampax team is producing tampons 24/7 to meet the increased demand.”
