‘MONTERO’ Raises Thousands For Charities

Seems like Lil Nas X has been in the news every day this past week. Now, to celebrate the release of his album, ‘MONTERO’, Lil Nas X continues to be creative with his album rollout, linking a charity for donations/ a baby registry to each track.

Earlier this month, X announced that he was pregnant with the album, Montero. Over the weekend, he shared his “baby registry,” focusing on 16 charities that focused on issues like healthcare, LGBTQ, BIPOC, and social justice. A representative for Bros in Convo, a Florida charity for Black, gay, bisexual, and queer men, had spoken with TMZ that the organization had received $33,140 in donations as of this past Friday, and that is all thanks to the release of the album. The charity was tied to the song “That’s What I Want.”
