Monroe County Redistricting Task Force Meeting Tuesday

An important heads up if you live in Monroe County. There will be a meeting Tuesday at 3 pm for the redistricting of Monroe County. Last year Monroe County Executive Adam Bello signed off on a new task force to conduct the redistricting.
The reason Bello signed off on the new commission is to cut the politics out of the redistricting process. The task force is going to redraw the 29 districts that will determine and represent the local government in Albany.
The reason for the meeting is to schedule three public hearings. When district lines are re-drawn it affects voting, voter registration, government programs, and funding in Rochester and the surrounding areas.
