In Monroe County, incumbent Demond Meeks (D) defeated Rochester City Councilmember Willie Lightfoot (D) for the NYS Assembly’s 137th district seat. Attorney Michael Geraci took down former Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren to become a judge of the Rochester City Court. Incumbent NYS Congresswoman Claudia Tenney held off her opponent, Mario Fratto, to remain on the November ballot for the seat in the 24th congressional district, which spans a large geographic area including Wayne, Ontario, and Livingston counties.
