Microsoft Outage Leads To IT Disruptions In Monroe County

Monroe County announced its IT systems are experiencing disruptions amid a Microsoft and CrowdStrike outage. The county released a statement that County Executive Adam Bello activated the Emergency Operations Center at 4 a.m. Friday morning. The statement clarifies that 911 and emergency communications are functioning as normal, but it’s not clear what services are affected by the outage. On Friday morning, multiple airlines and services around the world were affected due to the outages. Some airlines are facing a global ground stop. Other services affected worldwide include hospitals, 911 call centers, banks, media outlets, and more.
