Megan Thee Stallion Talks Future Collabs With Cardi B

Whenever Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B collaborate, their musical synergy is evident. Their 2020 hit dominated the charts, securing the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks. Now, their new joint venture, “Bongos”, made its debut on Sept. 8 and stands as Megan’s premiere release for 2023. The song is positioned at No. 14 on the Sept. 23-dated Hot 100.

Given their successful collaborations, it’s unsurprising that Megan looks forward to more joint projects with Cardi. In a recent chat with Complex, she expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I literally think that’s the route that we’re going. I’ve done two songs for her. Now, I’m at a point where I have a clear vision of the tracks I’d like her to feature on for me. It feels as though we’re already curating a mini-album. Considering the volume of our joint music, a mutual tour seems like the next big step. Performing live with [Cardi] would be phenomenal. Our camaraderie is great, and I believe our fan bases align. If she’s up for an EP, I’m completely on board. Our collaborative efforts have already yielded a significant collection.”

Reflecting on their work dynamic in a separate conversation with Billboard, Megan appreciated Cardi’s flexibility: “she literally just let me do me. When she sends me a track, she’s open to my creative input, which is a refreshing change from the prescriptive approaches some take.”
