Major League Baseball To Play 60 Games Starting at the End of July

Major League Baseball is back!

MLB officially announced players will return for training on July 1. Baseball will have 60-game regular-season schedule. With opening day on July 23rd or 24th. Players will have to undergo COVID-19 testing when they get to camp. Coaches and support staff will be tested every other day during training camps, regular season and postseason. Anybody testing positive will be quarantined. Two negative tests are reportedly required for a return. Players will also receive temperature symptom checks at least twice per day, and antibody testing will be conducted approximately once per month. As for the money? Players will be paid a full prorated portion of their 2020 salary, that’s 37 percent of the full season. For the rules on the shortened season, click here.
