Yesterday, NASA released breathtaking images from the James Webb Space Telescope, which launched last Christmas. Over 300 people worked on this project, including Rochester Institute of Technology and a local team L3 Harris. These images go as far back as 13 billion years.
Rebecca Borrelli, L3 Harris engineer, stated: “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There’s not many people who can say they’ve been a part of something like this…Unlike previous missions, if we had an issue with the imaging of this telescope, there is no servicing it to correct it.”
