The election is less than a week away and the race for governor is as contentious as ever. One of the ongoing debates now happened over the debate last week, which is the Bills Stadium. Republican Candidate Lee Zeldin said if elected, he would consider trying to get a better deal for state taxpayers, who are currently in line to pay more than 40% of the total cost of the $1.4 billion stadium.
Yesterday, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said he didn’t believe Zeldin could reach a better deal. Poloncarz stated: “If you’re a Buffalo Bills fan and you’re voting for Lee Zeldin, you’re basically pouring gasoline on a fire because it could burn us as a community, and we could lose our Bills.”
