LeBron James is now in the billionaire club. According to Forbes’ Chase Peterson-Withorn, the Los Angeles Lakers star’s net worth is estimated to be $1 billion. James is now the first active NBA player to accumulate a billion-dollar net worth during his playing career. Basketball icon and current Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan is also a billionaire but didn’t reach the milestone until 2014, more than a decade after his retirement (2003).
