Lark Voorhies, an actress on the original Saved By The Bell series, was not invited to join the television show’s reboot. The reunion show for the popular 90s sitcom, Saved By The Bell, has invited original cast members, Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, and Josie Totah back.
Voorhies was a big part of the show. Many may remember her as the character she played, Lisa Turtle. It’s hard to picture a Saved by The Bell without the return of one of their most popular cast members. Lark Voorhies expressed her sadness regarding not being invited to the show, in a recent interview with Dr. Oz.
Lark also reveals the reason she may not have been invited was due to her battle with her mental health. The actress, who has been suffering from bipolar disorder, had this to say: “I have to admit I did feel a bit slighted and hurt when I was not invited to the Saved By The Bell reunion, as well as other cast members’ events. Yet, of course, I also realize that having this puzzling disorder may have played a major part in that factual decision.” Lark goes on to express her appreciation for being on such a successful show.
