Kyrie Irving Pays Tuition For 9 Students At Lincoln University

Written by on January 4, 2021

In a huge move of generosity, Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets has taken it upon himself to pay the tuition of a few students at Lincoln University.

The 9 students from the Pennsylvania HBCU will have their tuition paid in full from the Brooklyn Nets point guard’s 11 days of giving campaign.

A Tweet from The Athletic’s Shams Charania:

“Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving paid off the college tuition of nine students from an HBCU (Lincoln University) on Dec. 10 as part of his foundation’s 11 days of giving in December,”

This is one act of philanthropy among many that Irving has done over the past year. He also contributed $1.5 million to the WNBA Players who elected to sit out the season due to COVID-19 and the racial complications that 2020 held.

He also pledged money to help in the fight against COVID-19 back in March, while donating over $300,000 and 25,000 meals to people affected by the virus in the greater New York area.
