Kevin Hart Has Decided To Invest In Ellis Island Tea

Kevin Hart has announced that he is investing in a famous Black owned tea company called Ellis Island Tea.

Ellis Island Tea is an all natural tea company founded by Nailah Ellis. She started her company when she was 20 by brewing tea inspired by her Jamaican grandfather’s recipe from her mother’s kitchen in Detroit.

Ellis began selling the all natural tea out of the trunk of her car, but now her product is being sold in select Sam’s Clubs, Costco and some airports in the US. Soon, her tea will be sold at Walmart, CVS and Target.

She gives all the credit to her great-grandfather, for inspiring the recipe that brought happiness to so many people.

In a press release, she said:

“Cyril’s story is one of a true risk-taker. He came here with nothing but his dreams. He went on to become a head chef on Marcus Garvey’s Black Star Line and then the owner of Byron Caterers, one of the most successful Black-owned catering businesses in the Bronx.”

Kevin Hart, who started on his own as well, said:

“You’re supposed to set up for the next generation…if you’re not doing that, you’re not doing your part.”
