Kanye West 2020: Thousands Of Campaign Funds Were Used For Credit Card Bill

Kayne West’s unsuccessful 2020 presidential campaign is resurfacing as his campaign committee claims that they were the victims of a scam. Reportedly, thousands of dollars were stolen from the campaign and allegedly used to pay off someone’s credit card bill.

According to the Federal Election Commission, Kanye 2020 shared with them that someone who was unaffiliated with the campaign was able to access the committee’s bank account to withdraw $3,999 to pay off their bank statements. A letter was issued to the FEC and states that an investigation proved that the account was accessed three times: “It has been determined that the disbursement for $1474 on 12/9/21, $1280 on 2/8/22, and $1245 on 2/22/22 was an external fraud situation…After investigating, it was determined that an individual not connected with the campaign accessed a campaign account to pay his own credit card.”
