Jam Squad Recap: 2nd Annual Strong Families Extravaganza

What’s up Rochester! It’s ya boy GILLZ with another community event update.

This time the Jam Squad had the pleasure of attending the 2nd Annual Strong Families Extravaganza hosted by the Rochester Housing Authority. There was an amazing turn out this past Saturday at Baden Park. It brought me such joy seeing how this year brought out more families, sponsors and community members.

The park was full of great resources for the community and provided a ton of information for healthcare, education, employment, child care and home ownership. It was also a great hub for fun for the children. Whether they were playing on the RFD fire trucks, bouncing in bounce houses or playing on the water slides, the kids had a ball. The smiles on those young faces were PRICELESS. The energy sparked on Baden Park but was felt throughout the whole city! The best part of the event was how much the community enjoyed interacting with the Jam Squad!  

As always, you could find the Jam Squad providing exceptional entertainment and hosting some pretty amazing interviews. Weather you saw people singing, dancing, tapping their foot or nodding their heads, they felt the presence of WDKX. The community had such an amazing time hanging around the WDKX booth singing their favorite oldies and registering for the ROC Summer Soul Music Festival. Can’t wait to see how the Strong Families Extravaganza grows!
