Inner Hygiene: Are You Taking Care Of You Spiritually?

Yes, there really is such a thing as Spiritual Hygiene. Not only do you have to make sure you are washing your hands and you are practicing good external hygiene but, you have to practice inner hygiene as well.

What is inner hygiene or spiritual hygiene?

Basically, it’s taking the time to clear your spiritual space or energy from negativity. Technically, this should be done daily but you can do it whenever you can. You really should make time daily because life happens from the time we wake up to the time we go to bed. We experience a lot in the day and need time to process, reflect, feel, and let go.

When you are stressed, frustrated, overwhelmed those feelings put a strain on you internally. After a while, those negative emotions will take a toll on you mentally and physically if you don’t release them. Which segues into is why I’m writing this blog.

Some of the things you can do to cleanse the negative energy from your day are meditation (I highly recommend), prayer, journaling, and/or physical activity. Even if it’s two minutes of meditation or a short walk at a park with calming music. That is something and is a start!

You can also journal your day and your thoughts if you prefer to write and prayer will definitely help also. If you make time to them all then YOU ROCK!!

You could even listen to uplifting music, inspiring podcasts, or books.

No matter how you do it just make sure you are taking care of your hygiene internally.
