Information Update: Rochester Meal Distribution Schedule Adjustments

Important information regarding time changes for the City of Rochester R-Centers meals distribution.

The city’s Department of Recreation and Youth Services grab-and-go meals will continue for school aged youth Monday-Friday.

City R-Centers meal distribution hours will be 8am-5:30pm at all nine city R-Centers.

As the City of Rochester continues to analyze the R-Centers on a week by week basis to fill the needs of the community these are currently the best times for the city’s youth accessing the sites.

The grab-and-go meal distribution is a partnership between the City of Rochester, Foodlink, and the Rochester City School district.

RCSD announced it will add four more school sites to help fill the needs of the community starting April 20.

The hours for those meal distribution sites are Monday-Friday 8am-2:30pm.

The new sites are:

• Douglass Campus, 940 Fernwood Park
• Mary McCleod Bethune School No. 45, 1445 Clifford Ave.
• Roberto Clemente School No. 8, 1180 St. Paul St.
• Enrico Fermi School No. 17, 158 Orchard St.

The other existing eight sites for RCSD are:

• East Upper & Lower School, 1801 E. Main St.
• Dr. Freddy Thomas Campus, 625 Scio St.
• The Former Jefferson High School, 1 Edgerton Pk.
• James Monroe High School, 164 Alexander St.
• John Williams School No. 5, 555 N. Plymouth Ave.
• Wilson Foundation Academy, 200 Genesee St.
• Abelard Reynolds School No. 42, 3330 Lake Ave.
• Virgil I. Grissom School No. 7, 31 Bryan St.

The nine R-Centers distributing meals remain the same:
