How to get refunds for cancelled and postponed events

Written by on May 1, 2020

Many artists and promoters have cancelled concerts and events due to the Covid19, but not every ticket holder has received a refund. During this time we all need to keep as much money in our pockets as possible so I present to you three things you need to know in order to get your money back.

After thousands of people complained to Live Nation about their refund policy, they’ve come up with a new “Ticket Refund Plan”.

But it’s important to know the status of the event you purchased a ticket for. This will determine when and how you can get a refund.

  1. Cancelled – If the concert was cancelled you will automatically receive a refund from the point of purchase.
  2. Rescheduled – Your ticket will be honored on the new posted date. If you are unavailable to attend (or are just scared of going into large crowds) you have 30 days from the date that the announcement  was made to request a refund.
  3. Postponed with no new date set – Wait 60 days from the date of postponement, at that point Live Nation will open up the 30 day refund window.
