Written by on March 10, 2021

Today, the House of Representatives will be taking its final vote to approve President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 Relief Plan.

If they vote yes on the bill, it will then be sent to the desk of President Joe Biden, where he will then sign it into law and the American people will begin to receive the aid they desperately need.

If the bill makes it through, it will mark the first major legislative achievement that the new administration and Democratic majority Congress have established.

The main features of the bill include $1400 per person stimulus payments that will be sent to 90% of households in America,a $300 federal boost to weekly jobless benefits, an expansion of the child tax credit of up to $3,600 per child and $350 billion in state and local aid, as well as billions of dollars for K-12 schools to help students return to the classroom, to assist small businesses hard-hit by the pandemic and for vaccine research, development and distribution.
