Hospital Visitation is Opening Up

As other areas begin to shift gears, Rochester hospitals begin to do the same. Starting this Monday, April 5th, Rochester Regional Health has said patients at five of its area hospitals will be allowed up to two visitors a day, for up to four hours each. Patients who are going into labor will be allowed up to two visitors 24 hours a day, while patients living with developmental or intellectual disabilities can each have one support person 24 hours a day, with another visitor who can stay up to four hours. Any other patient may only have one visitor at a time.
Here are the updated visitation hours:
Rochester General Hospital and Unity Hospital: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
UMMC: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic: 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
Newark-Wayne Community Hospital: Monday-Friday from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
As for URMC, patients may only have two visitors a day at different times. Here are the updated visitation hours:
Strong Memorial: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Highland: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
F.F. Thompson: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Noyes: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Jones Memorial: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
St. James: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
