Hip-hop artist Buckwild releases new album: Abandoned Beats

New York DJ and Diggin In The Crates producer Buckwild has a collection of previously unreleased beats that he dropped this month and has appropriately named it Abandoned Beats, Volume 1. He has spent the better part of the last 20 years contributing to other people’s music. Buckwild has previously lent beats to the likes of Black Rob, Jay-Z, The Game, and O.C. He has also worked on full-length albums with Rochester MC Pounds and Meyhem Lauren.
The 19 tracks included on Abandoned Beats are mostly unused and previously unheard. It is unclear when exactly Buckwild created these beats, but most of the records have a sound reminiscent of the 1990s.
The beats feature a variety of instruments from stripped-down organ and piano to horns and strings. The album is as versatile as Buck himself. Notable tracks on the LP include “Living in the Hood,” “Strong Grip,” “Cartel,” and “Doing My Own Thing.”
Future projects for Buckwild include collaborating on another album with Meyhem and helping produce the majority of the upcoming album from 38 Spesh and Diggin In The Crates. And hopefully, since this is the first volume of Abandoned Beats, he’ll be pretty quick to produce a Volume Two.
