Highland Park Prepares For Lilac Fest

The 125th annual Lilac Festival is just around the corner and preparations are underway in Highland Park. In honor of the occasion, the staff from Camp Good Days recently took a break to clean up Teddi’s Place – a memorial established in 1979 by Gary Mervis in memory of his daughter, and a tribute to the bravery of cancer-stricken children and their families. Located in the heart of the park, away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, Teddi’s Place provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. Festival-goers can take advantage of this freshly spruced-up area to bask in the beautiful weather. The Lilac Festival opens on Friday and will run through May 21st.
