As the Recording Academy prepares for the 63rd annual Grammy Awards this January 31st 2021, it has renamed & redefined the “Best Urban Contemporary Album.” The category will now be known as “Best Progressive R&B Album.” During the year the academy accepts proposals for rule changes and from members of the music community, that are reviewed at their annual Board meeting.
