Governor Hochul Budget Doesn’t Include Money for New Bills Stadium

Yesterday afternoon, Governor Kathy Hochul delivered her first state budget address. In her address, Hochul stated that there is no money set aside for the new Buffalo Bills Stadium that has been requested from the team. However, Hochul had said money for a new home for the Buffalo Bills would be part of the 2023 state budget.
Last month, Governor Hochul said that the owners of the Buffalo Bills will have state support should they choose to build a new stadium in Orchard Park. Hochul stated: “We have had conversations and I have made it clear to the Buffalo Bills organization that we wanted to accommodate both options and let them see the costs of both downtown and Orchard Park and not putting the finger on the scale and if their desire is Orchard Park, it’s Orchard Park and we have never said otherwise.”
