Yesterday morning, local leaders and Governor Kathy Hochul stopped at Monroe Community College to celebrate the grand opening of the Finger Lakes Workforce Development (FWD) Center. Located on the fifth and sixth floors of MCC’s Downtown Campus, the $11.4 million 50,000-square-foot center will serve as a regional hub for career training, focusing on technology-oriented training programs.
In her visit, Governor Hochul stated: “We found the future. We found the building for places like this because it can launch people in so many different directions. t’s not just one industry, one job, one career. It puts people with stackable credentials to get the skills they need quickly to step into the jobs our employers are just begging for.”
