Recently, a GoFundMe account was set up to assist with medical expenses dealing with injuries from an assault on an elderly Asian woman in San Francisco, California. She did fight back! Also as a result, the victim of the attack insisted the money go back into the (AAPI) Asian American and Pacific Islander community.
TMZ reported, the GoFundMe was first initiated by the family of Xiao Zhen Xie immediately following the incident where she was attacked and suffered multiple wounds to her face. Their fundraising has since reached nearly a million dollars.
Let’s remember, this is an elderly woman whose response to her attacker was to fight back. She obviously has a refusal to be victimized. Plus, the guy who assaulted her left on a gurney👍🏽. She and Rochester’s 83-year-old Ms. Willie Murphy, who fought off a home-invader in 2019, need to link up and get a new thing going.
