Voices of the Community: Love Jones Review
Written by Andre on December 12, 2016
I have been wondering for years why there are not more critics that have the cultural viewpoint on art (someone who lives and breaths it) – then came social media and BAM! Everyone is a critic. This young lady point of view was interesting and no vitriol cast to get likes! So here is a review of Love Jones the Musical from the Point of view of BreBlue:
The play overall was great I really and truly enjoyed the variety of powerful voices they had performing. The storyline for the entire play was easy to follow and the transitions were fairly smooth. In the first half of the play the music transitions were hard to follow. Instead of them www.honeytraveler.com/buy-topamax/ ending the scene with the song it would end, the stage would go dark and then the artist would start singing. That I feel wasn’t the smoothest way to do the transition. I feel the play has no direct connection to those of us that are really hard core fans of the actual “Love Jones” movie. I think to pick a movie of that caliber they should’ve taken pieces whether poem or song from the movie. It would’ve made us vibe to the play a little better. Overall it’s one of those plays that you enjoy but don’t get to wrapped in.
