Written by Site Hub on November 11, 2021
It seems as though the election was weeks ago, however, those absentee ballots are still being accounted for. Monroe County Democratic Committee Chairman Zach King has recently spoken out on the importance of the absentee ballot count following the 2021 election. According to the Monroe County Democratic Committee, some races still have to be decided by absentee ballot and the majority of those have been returned by Democratic voters. Every vote must be counted to ensure the integrity of the election. It is expected that the Board of Elections will begin the absentee count and ballot recount on Nov. 15.
