FDA & Frito Lay Announce Recall Of BBQ Chips In Certain States

Frito Lay has initiated a recall of their barbecue flavored chips because of undeclared milk ingredients on their packaging.

The company found out that the barbecue bags were accidentally filled with other flavors that could contain milk products, possibly exposing those with severe milk allergies to a life threatening situation, according to the FDA.

The recall is specifically for bags of 1 oz., 1 1/2 oz., 2 5/8 oz., 7 3/4 oz., 12 1/2 oz. and 15 1/2 oz. Frito-Lay says no other Lay’s products, regardless of size or flavor are being recalled.

Luckily, the affected merchandise wasn’t shipped nationwide. The states affected are: Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
