FDA Clears Booster Shot for Ages 5-11

Written by on May 18, 2022

As we continue to combat COVID-19, another hurdle has been cleared for parents who want their children vaccinated against COVID-19. The United States Food and Drug Administration, or the FDA, has clear emergency use for a booster dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11. The booster can be administrated at least five months after the child’s last dose. We will hear from the CDC shortly if they decide whether to recommend the booster for this age group.
