Many New Yorkers were scratching their heads Sunday evening after a tweet and picture of a green Empire State Building was lit up after the Philadelphia’s Eagles NFC championship victory.
Even though the city of Philadelphia is a few hours away from the Big Apple there is no reason to be celebrating.
The lighting of a green Empire State Building was not a joke, and it was actually planned ahead of time to celebrate the winners of the division championship.
I’ll give the Empire state building the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they thought the New York Jets were going to pull it off this year and that’s why they lit the building green.
