Dwayne Johnson & Issa Rae Working On A Backyard Wrestling Show for HBO

Dwayne Johnson, Issa Rae and Dany Garcia are teaming up on a new project. All 3 are developing an HBO half-hour series in titled “TRE COUNT”. Which will follow the life of a young dock worker named Cassius Jones and his struggling pro-wrestler career. Jones fall into some money and starts up a backyard wrestling empire in Houston’s Third Ward.
Garica, a co-founder of Seven Bucks Productions with Dwayne Johnson. Executive produced “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” and “Rampage” along with a number of hit movies. The show will be written by Mohamad El Masri, who has work on the Netflix show “October Faction” and HBO’s Here and Now”
HBO loves just about everything Dwayne Johnson and Issa Rae put together. With the success of “Insecure” and “Ballers”. You threw in the popularity of wrestling, world wide? I can’t wait to see what this show will look like.
