Dr. Tasha Potter Named New Superintendent of Penfield Central School District

After the announcement Dr. Thomas Putnam would step down as Superintendent to take a leadership role with Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Penfield Central School District has named a new Superintendent – Dr. Tasha Potter. Potter has served as Penfield CSD’s Assistant Superintendent for Equity and Access for the last three years. She also served as the Director of Diversity and Equity Planning for Monroe One BOCES, and as Principal and Assistant Principal in the Greece Central School District.
Potter’s appointment as superintendent could be made as early as Thursday, pending approval from the Board of Education. Potter holds her doctorate in executive leadership from St. John Fisher University, her Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport, and her master’s degree in liberal studies and bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Brockport. Potter will begin her new position September 1, pending approval from the Board during its July 18 meeting.
