Dr. Michael Mendoza is getting a second six year term as the County’s public health commissioner. Dr. Mendoza played a big role in the County’s response effort to COVID. Administering more than one million vaccinations under his watch.
Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said, “Throughout the greatest health crisis our community has seen in more than a century, Dr. Michael Mendoza has been a steadfast partner and leader as we focused on ensuring the health and safety of Monroe County residents.” Dr. Mendoza was first appointed in 2016, and his reappointment is pending approval by the Monroe County Legislature.
