It’s great to see people get their flowers when they’re still alive and healthy.
Super producer and Hip Hop icon Dr. Dre will be honored by the Grammys.
The Recording Academy announced that Dr. Dre will be recognized for his contributions to music
Dr. Dre dominated Hip Hop music back in the early 1990s and 2000s with this production.
Dre is also the brain behind one of Hip Hop’s most controversial groups, NWA.
He’s also responsible for some of Hip Hop’s biggest artists. From Snoop Dogg to Eminem, and 50 Cent to Kendrick Lamar. He has also worked with and scored major hits with big name pop artists.
One of Dre’s biggest scores was selling his Beats By Dre Headphones brand, raking in over $1 Billion.
In my opinion, I put Dre in the same conversation about iconic producers with the Quincy Jones’, Teddy Riley’s and Elton John’s, just to name a few.
