Doja Cat has been named the host of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. The VMAs will be airing live from Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on Sunday, September 12. The VMAs will be returning to Barclays after opting out of a live event last year, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only is Doja Cat hosting, but the “Say So” singer is also among the nominees at the awards and is up for five, including Video of the Year and Artist of the Year. Doja Cat shared the news to her Instagram:

It is reported that some of the artists that are set to perform at the 2021 VMAs are Camila Cabello, Lil Nas X, LORDE, Machine Gun Kelly, Olivia Rodrigo, Chlöe, Shawn Mendes, and Twenty One Pilots. Doja Cat will also be performing during this year’s ceremony.
