Diddy Pays Sting $5K A Day For ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ Sample

You ever love something so much that you are willing to pay whatever for it? Well, apparently Diddy has experienced this. A clip from a 2018 interview on the Breakfast Club has resurfaced on the internet. In this clip, Sting was asked if it’s true he gets paid $2,000 a day by Diddy for the initially unauthorized use of The Police’s “Every Breath You Take” on Diddy’s 1997 song “I’ll Be Missing You.” “Yeah, for the rest of his life,” he replied. “It ain’t fake news.”
Well turns out, that isn’t true. It’s actually $5,000 a day. Diddy shared this on Twitter:
