Democrats Win Control of Monroe County

Monroe County Democrats celebrated sweeping victories on election night this year. Adam Bello was re-elected as Monroe County executive, defeating Mark Assini, a Republican, with 61% of the vote, according to unofficial election results.Democrats also able to won a majority of the Monroe County Legislature by electing 16 Democrats compared to 13 Republicans.
