Democrats In The Senate Are Debating Using A New Tactic To Pass The COVID-19 Relief Bill

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders will soon become the newly appointed chairman of the Senate Budget Committee.
He said that Democrats might use a rare tactic that might work to pass major parts of the COVID-19 relief bill if Republicans decide to stall once again.
The tactic is called “Reconciliation” and it would enable the bill to pass with 51 votes instead of the traditional majority vote of 60.
Sanders gave a statement regarding the choice to use the tactic, saying:
“What we cannot do is wait weeks and weeks and months and months to go forward. We have got to act now.”
