DAVE CHAPPELLE | 8:46

Last night, I woke up to a post by @davechappelle that was 27 minutes long. Naturally, I couldn’t wait to see what this was going to look like. We keep having to wait for the next special he releases so, I watched it immediately!
Apparently, Chappelle set this show in an area within his own community of Yellow Springs, Ohio. Toward the beginning, he starts by commenting on the next generation and applauds their efforts for change. “I am very proud of you. You kids are excellent drivers. I am comfortable in the backseat of the car.”
I got the impression this special had been scheduled prior to the death of George Floyd since Chappelle’s dialogue came off as being more freestyle than usual.
As we’ve come to expect, names were mentioned in this special. The portion of his set that got my attention was his conversational response to his own name being mentioned on CNN by Don Lemon. Both men made understandable points in each “attack”, if you want to call it that. But, this response by Don Lemon was actually my favorite. The overall perspective and gratitude, which obviously had existed prior to the initial engagement.
