COVID-19 Vaccines for Kids are Now Available

Rochester’s facilities have been shipped thousands of doses of COVID-19 vaccine that are ready to go into the arms of children between the ages of 5 and 11. The region has received about 30,000 doses in this initial shipment. While this shipment was first priority to pediatricians, some municipalities are planning vaccine clinics specially targeted to that age group.

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello stated: “These county-run pediatric clinics provide one more option for parents who want to access the vaccine but aren’t able to access their pediatrician quickly enough or parents whose children don’t have a pediatrician.”
