COVID-19 Relief Bill Goes Back To The House For Final Vote

Written by on March 8, 2021

The $1.3 trillion COVID-19 relief bill is almost completely approved by Washington lawmakers, but before the stimulus checks are sent out, the bill has to go back to the House of Representatives so that they can approve the changes that the Senate voted on.

The House will vote on the Senate’s version of the bill on Tuesday, and is expected to pass on the party line, like it did the other day in the Senate with the Democratic majority.

Once the House passes, the bill will go over to the White House, where President Biden is waiting with a pen to sign it into existence.

When Biden signs the order, the $1,400 checks could be in bank accounts within days.

The last stimulus bill that then-President Trump signed had checks going out three days after the bill was signed, but due to tax season, the distribution could go a bit slower.
